About Suzanne:
The Path That Brought
Me Here

Hello!

I'm a registered psychotherapist offering online IFS-based therapy for women over 50 grappling with long-standing inner criticism, and for anyone navigating intergenerational wounds or emotional pain that's been spiritually bypassed or intellectually understood—but not yet healed.

My Path to This Work

My journey hasn’t been typical—and that’s exactly what makes my work different.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent decades working as a massage therapist, raising three children, growing food, and living simply. For over 30 years, I’ve maintained a daily meditation practice in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition, including long retreats and intensive study with teachers like Tsoknyi Rinpoche.

While others were climbing ladders or scaling goals, I was studying nervous systems, self-awareness, and what it really means to heal.

When Spiritual Practice Wasn’t Enough

Despite decades of sincere practice, I began to face emotional patterns that meditation couldn’t shift. Through Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, I discovered what my practice alone hadn’t addressed—parts of myself I’d unknowingly bypassed in the name of being spiritual, strong, or calm.

IFS became a turning point, allowing me to integrate my spiritual insight with emotional clarity and deep internal care.

Who I Work With

I specialise in working with:

  • Women over 50 who feel hollow despite their success, still haunted by inner doubt or self-criticism

  • Spiritual seekers and long-time practitioners who've done the work—but still feel something inside hasn't quite healed

  • Adults carrying intergenerational trauma—patterns passed down through family lines that now shape your relationships, self-worth, or emotional safety

  • Couples seeking deeper connection, grounded in IFS-based relational work

Whether you're dealing with burnout, perfectionism, grief, imposter syndrome, spiritual bypassing, or the quiet pain of disconnection—this is a place where all parts of you are welcome.

How I Work

My approach blends:

  • Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS Level 2)

  • Somatic trauma work (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1)

  • Buddhist-informed presence and compassion

  • Nervous system support

  • Genuine curiosity (without pathologising you or your pain)

We don’t fight your inner critic—we listen to it. We don’t try to “fix” you—we explore what’s asking to be met.

I also offer IFS-informed couples therapy, helping partners understand their own parts and each other's with curiosity and compassion.

A Bit More Personally…

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me walking the beach, tending my garden, creating a craft project, or sitting in quiet meditation.

I believe therapists should be actively engaged in their own growth—and I continue to do the inner work I offer to others.

If You’re Ready to Begin
